EFY! Especially for Youth!
So I went with my lovely and beautiful cousin Mickell! We've always been close cousins but lately she's become my very best friend :) I'm so happy I got to go with her and I can't wait until next year!
So we went to Cedar City on the first week of August. I went up early Monday and Mickell came later in the day because a boy in her class died and she went to his funeral. So it kinda started off sad but not for long! As soon as Mickell got there it was suddenly complete awesome. But first I had to wait most of the day...
At first it was awkward cause our room was in a dorm with all girls that weren't in our company and they didn't show up until later. So I was just sitting in my room for about an hour before these two girls (Tasha and Megan) Knocked on my door just wanting to see who else was around. So they invited me to venture around with them. So I did. I went to my group and none of them talked much. Finally we got out of our shells. And they were pretty cool! But They all came together or had friends so I just sat away from everyone for awhile...
Finally Kell came later in the day. :) And life was better!

Haha We had fun throughout the week. The lessons and meetings and sessions were all the best ever! Our Company turned out to be extremely awesome. We only had a few guys, and none of them were C.O.W. worthy (Crush of the Week) but they were some of the sweetest nicest guys ever! Our group was NO HARM! and we were the most spirited team. We had tons of different cheers and things. They always do a cheer-off and a flag competition and our group won first in the cheer-off and second with the flag. So we basically ruled.
The dances were the best. Except for the fact that a cute guy asked Mickell to dance EVERY single time so I would get left alone a lot. Guys asked me too though. haha The dances were amazing. Definitely a highlight :)
For some reason we took this picture on the way to the dance. I love it though haha
Every part of this EFY week was AMAZING! I loved it all. :]
Everybody at breakfast? I think
Pizza Night! This was BY FAR the craziest night! haha We partied and partied, ate pizza, listened to music, got WipCream stuck on the ceiling... It was hilarious
Dear Annie and Ashlee...Preggers?
Us and Kirsten! Who was at Kell's EFY last year-in her company. Small world...
I know that everything I'm writing about is VERY jumbled, and that is for two reasons: 1-I know that If I wrote everything I wanted to all the...three people that read my blog would leave for forever. And 2-It's been so long I don't remember where to start and what to say! So I'm sorry that it might not make any sense. I'm basically just posting this for Kell, haha I think she is the only one who will care about this post in particular
Everybody! NO HARM! You know! This rock is outside the library at SUU and I think it gets repainted very, very often. We came on the last day of fun to find it painted with "No harm fell upon this rock" Which was a part of our cheer sort of. It was fun so we got our group pictures by it
Our guys :) Once when the girls started walking away from a group thing with ALL The companies they all yelled "WE LOVE THE NO HARM GIRLS!!" They were so sweet :)
Company counselors Charly and Glen. They made this EFY great. I was so happy they were our counselors. I think we had the CRAZIEST group of all. Playing games all the time. Like Screaming Viking, and the ninja game. It was fun :)
I think this wins best picture award!
Me and Erin
Me, Annie, and Mikki
Me and Brooke
Me And Madi
Me and David...This picture was a little To close for comfort for me
Me and Alec!
Glen and I
Me, Charly, Kell and...Glen.
The thing that bothered me about the time they set aside for group pictures was that they didnt factor in people making friends with the OTHER groups too! So we didnt get any pictures with them. Kell and I got really close to the other girls we were rooming with and it was sad that they werent in our company or we werent in ours. But we were basically accepted into two companies! So that was nice. :)
So this is us the night before the last day. It was lights out but we wanted to get a picture! So we did... (Kell, Alisa, Jennifer, Me, Amber, and Auria)
Then this is before we left the last day (Alisa, Me, Jennifer, Kell, Tasha, and Megan. AND Elizabeth is in the background and she was the cutest girl! I loved her but we didnt get a picture together. And i'm still kicking myself)
So yeah... I think that's about it. There is so much I left out but I dont think I should add it. haha So yeah! And the only thing left to say is... I wish i had a facebook. So that I could still be in touch with these girls. :*[
(yes that was pointed at my parents... pleease?)

Yes I know I'm a slacker...
So Here is some July.
The 4th:

For the Independance Day weekend the vast majority of my family came to visist. :) It always makes me so happy when family comes! I love my family, I have the absolute BEST family ever. :D
Everyone staying at my house came down on the 2nd kinda late, and the next morning we all went hiking up behind La Estancia which is the mountain behind the K.
On the way down my fabulous cousin Felicia and I became "Hiking buddies" and went down the hill together.

After that we decided to go swimming to cool down, but by the time everyone was suited up and ready someone had just pooped in the pool. So we had to wait about and hour while it got cleaned up. Then just when it got cleaned there was lightning... So in the end we only got an hour to swim after the lightning went away.
The next day we all got up and went to the parade. A couple family members went and did the fun run, but not I
The parade was great. Kell and I:

After the parade we chilled at home, went over to the park, had a nice afternoon. That night we had dinner (dutch oven chicken :D and potatoes) Then we went over to the park and listened to the "Kanab's Got Talent" I saw Kaylie and Kelsie there, we hung out for awhile

(If you look at my eye you can see the battle wound i got from playing basketball at the book with my cousins haha)
The 4th was amazing! I LOVEEE When my family comes to visit. Come again soon family. :)
The next thing worth note in July was the trip to Highland to My Uncle Wayne's house to go to the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. Which was BEAUTIFUL!

On the way back we tried to see how many people we could fit on the little transporting cart thing... We got EVERYONE at one point. (My Dad, mom, me, Merrill, Madi, Marin, Mace, Wayne, Marie, Tyler, Katie, Brian, Robert, Trevor, Megan, and the dude that was driving!)

We beat the record!! haha
NEEEEXT thing to say is. The. Great. And. Infamous. WICKED.
I went to Wicked. :) It was just as amazing as Wicked always is. It makes me filled with SO much joy! haha

Sorry some of my pictures are gigantic...I can't figure out how to make them smaller. (Kaylie?)
Posts of my family vacation and EFY are coming soon. And maybe an update on me? Hopefully? I'm sorry I'm such a lame blogger!! haha

Youth Conference!
*My post now has working pictures...hopefully*
Yeah, I know that this post is very overdue being that YC was a few weeks ago, but considering no one even reads my blog to even care...I don't mind posting this now.
Youth Conference was AWESOME! I didn't take any pictures until about the last five minutes, but that was because I was having to much fun to want to pause and take pictures!
We left at about 1 on Thursday June 25th and drove to Dixie Collage. When we got there after checking into our rooms we went to the campus orientation, where we watched a movie and then got a brief tour of the campus. About two seconds into the orientation was when texts galore started poring in about Michael Jackson. It was pretty insane, as the latest news would go from one person then spread completely across the room. It was very dramatic, even for those of us who didn't really care ALL that much about MJ... Anyways.
The tour around campus was interesting. Our guide was a female college student who claims that Dixie college is phenomenal. Along with just about every other aspect of her life...She was rather annoying actually. haha And she had her favorite things on campus down to a 5 step list. Or what we thought had only 5 steps...I think she got up to 8 or 9...
After the orientation we had some food out on the lawn in from of the Red Rock Cafe which is the campus cafeteria. The food was okay...not the best, but it was okay. After food and things we went and got ready for Footloose at Tuacon! Footloose was pretty good, one of those shows that you would go to twice, but it's not necessarily on your list of things you NEED to do again, you know? The main guy was a crazy good dancer...his singing just wasn't up to the level of his dancing. Everyone else was just sub-par. It was enjoyable for me though! (except during Almost Paradise, they basically screamed it at each other haha)
I was rooming with Andrea Fisher, but because two rooms where adjoined by a bathroom we were joined by Maddie Holland and Lydia Lind. We didn't get to bed until really late that night...or really early i guess
So the next day we got up and had breakfast at the Cafe place. The breakfast looked completely gross and tasted about how it looked. We got ready and went to the St. George temple to do baptisms. It was a very memorable experience, as it always is. I just love going to the temple!

After baptisms we went back to campus, had lunch (which was better then the breakfast!) and went to a Ropes Course. The Ropes Course was pretty amazing, if you've never been to one, it's a course...involving ropes, that tests you spirtitually, mentally, and physically. It's all about team work and "being connected" We had to hold hands several times with the people in our group.
Me being pulled along while we were all "connected"
One of the things we had to do was go through these ropes that were like a spiderweb, and we had to go through without touching the edges...That would be my feet going through!
Us after it was over:
They told us to be excited or something...And as you can see, I'm pretty much the only excited one.
After the ropes course we went back, ate, and went swimming at the Dixie pool that they had rented for us. It was a lot of fun!!
The next day, which was our last we had breakfast, then had some workshops with three different speakers. They all were really, really, good speakers and two out of the three gave a messages that I'll probably always remember. Very inspiring :)
After the workshops we had a testimony meeting which was really great, there was an amazing spirt it there. I loved it! After that lunch, then we packed up and went home
BUT....Before we went home I got a couple pictures with some of my favorite people there!! Minus a few (Kelsie??)
Me and Andrea:
Crazy Picture...haha
Maddie and I:
Me and Katie, my good friend from Valley:
Mickell, Katie, and I
Lydia and I:
And Of course....Mickell and I:
(EFY two week's Mickell!!)

Girls Camp '09
So this year, I wasn't all that excited for girls camp. I didn't think I'd have much fun and I basically dreaded it. BUT, When I STOPPED having such a bad attitude about it and actually started looking toward bright sides, and stopped with the negative, I got excited for it! I love, love, love my ward. Some of the people in it are so cooky and silly it's always a good time!
Girls camp started with us all meeting at Sister Lyman's house, our camp director this year. We loaded up, and headed out! I took some pictures of us in the car on the way up, but my camera started having issues so I had to re-format it resulting in loosing those pictures. But that's fine. I guess. haha. At least it works now!
We stayed at the Houston's cabin up by Panguitch Lake. Their cabin had a fantastic view. You could see the Lake and...well It just looked amazing.
When we got there we unloaded the trailer and then just kinda got the feel of camp. Which was really a cabin. At first I was a little iffy about staying at a cabin. I mean, this is Girls CAMP. Not Girls CABIN! haha But I actually really liked the cabin and was grateful for it at night time!!
These where my main bud's during Camp: Maddie Holland and Lydia Lind. They are amazing girls. We had so much fun together during camp! (Look how BLUE her eyes are! It's insane...)
Maddie and I being silly, You can see the cabin behind! haha
This picture got a good laugh at camp, and it gives me a good laugh now. Maddie looks like she has down-syndrome, and she said it, not be. I'm just quoting her ;)
So If you're a girl that's ever gone to girls camp, or maybe you just know...We do Secret Sisters. Where you give a gift to a girl every day you're at girls camp and then at the end you reveal who you are. This year my SS was Andria Soderquist. I thought it was funny cause she had absolutely NO idea it was me. And she asked me who my SS was several times and I wouldn't tell her. haha. She didn't catch on. This picture I find funny, cause she is posing with the lotion her "SS" gave her. (a.k.a. me if you're really slow...)
So one of the first things we did when we got to Camp was a Challenge. Our them this year was "Can you Imagine..." So the first day was Can you imagine getting married in the temple and being a mom? And for that we did toilet paper brides, where we dressed up someone in a group with toilet paper wedding dresses. In my group our bride was Andria. Her dress didn't exactly come out as planned...It ended up not being that modest. haha
Awh...Doesn't she look stunning?! hahaha

Maddie was also a beautiful bride. :)
This is Arizona with her Banana Boat. Now you may be wondering why I dint show me with MY banana boat. And the answer is because they are gross. Make me sick. Absolutely disgusting. Nuff said.
So, after some random going ons...Maddie, Me, and Lydia decided to go sit on a log a little ways from camp. I dunno their purposes, but I just kinda wanted to get away from people for awhile...But some people followed us. Which was okay. We had some FUNNY conversations... :)
Now, this next picture might arouse questions...hahahaha actually I just wanted to put it in here cause It was so darn funny. And even though Andrea Cluff doesn't read my blog, I think that everyone who heard about this, or had her ask will appreciate this:
Are Dolly Parton's breasts real?
When she crossed over into pop and became a media superstar in the late 1970s,
she was significantly overweight, although her small frame and costuming made
her appear average in size everywhere except the breasts, which were very large
and quickly became the target of late-night talk show host jokes. At the time,
whenever asked if her breasts were real, she said they were real. In the
mid-1980s, she lost a considerable amount of weight. In interviews afterward,
she avoided answering whether her breasts had been augmented, referring to any
procedure as only a "lift." In 2002, however, she admitted for the first time in
separate interviews with The Irish Independent and The Daily Mirror that after
the weight loss in the 1980s, she lost a great deal of breast size and
subsequently obtained breast implants to bring them back to a similar size as
she had prior to the weight loss. Since then, she has made ample jokes in media
interviews about their not being natural. She even once joked by saying "Yep
they are mine! Bought and paid for!".
hahahaha. Okay. Yeah. So Andrea just wanted to know if they were or not.
ANYWAYS.....
This next picture is not to make Maddie hate me, but she probably will when I post this.
Isnt she a cutie?? :D
DAY 2...
Now this is something that makes me a little mad. We are at Girls CAMP. I would understand a little bit of get up, I mean some people look scary without make-up...but still. You're at girls camp, not some hot date with Prince Charming. A couple girls HAD to put on their make up. One girl even had a suitcase the size of .... really big, Just FILLED with make-up and things. I just dont understand . . . Anyways.
Today was our hike day. If you know me, you know I hate that kinda thing. :P But. We went on a really wimpy hike. Which made me happy. haha. The night before I had gotten my hair french braided with Maddie.(although Maddie's hair ended up being too short and didnt last long) I had it that way last year and that's how I like my hair at camp. The next morning, lo and behold....
I started a trend...eh. But that's okay. haha
Getting ready for the hike with my big sunglasses, haha:
Me. ya. Look how white i am...wow.
After the hike and random going ons...We all played Ha, Ha. I dont know what it's called actually. But it's where you have your head on someone's stomache and then say ha and you can't laugh...It's a fun game. Hilarious. haha
Then we made the leaders do it!!
Then we did skits, which are always a blast!! haha The leader's had the best skits by far this year.
Our skit:
i talked on a pinecone...ya.
The whole group...
And The Leader's skit :)
SO...What do you do when you're at girls camp at a cabin by Panguitch Lake??
You Play PHASE 10! haha we played this game SO much it was crazy.
This was my favorite round of Phase 10 by far. haha Nicki had the runs for about 45 minutes, and we cracked jokes about it the entire time. Haha, When she finally got off the run's there was a great eruption of cheers!
After that and other things...We had a PJ fashion show. I didnt really want to be a contestant, so I volenteered to be the Host of the show. I probably had the most fun out of anyone. I said something about everyone's pj's and it was just a lot of fun.
And yeah, I know that Red and Green dont go together except Christmas time. But I dont really care haha
Me analiyzing Kayla's PJ's
The whole group...with me in front for some reason.
Then we danced the night away...
NOW. After this I was the "Butt of the joke"
IcyHot + Jokesters + Toliet Seat + Unsuspecting McKenna = Upset McKenna with icey/hot buns.
You want to know the worst thing about the ordeal?
The got CANDYBARS as a reward for best prank. Sister Holland, I know you will be reading this. And I just have to say that that was not okay. They didnt need to be rewarded for that.... :( I'm sure you wouldn't have given them rewards if it had been you, Would you have?
Later that night we went Snipe Hunting. And it was a blast! We only had 1 first year but it was still really great. She got REALLY scared though.
The next day I had some pretty crazzy hair. haha
Sister Lyman did my hair and made it look REALLY cute, I just don't know why I didnt take a picture of it...Oh ya. My camera was being stupid.
That day was pretty cool. We played phase 10 (of course). Did a craft, then went to the Lake. Not to swim, or fish anything. Just to go. When we were there we saw these BEAUTIFUL butterflies. And Jamie took my camera and took multiple pictures of them...even though my camera was dead and she kept coming to me to fix it...
Then we went to the Dam
After that made food, ate food. Awards, testimony meeting, roasting... I got the "Best Befriender at Camp" award and the "Hottest Buns at Camp" awards. haha. After and during the raosting we had some hilarious conversations around the camp fire with a few of the girls and a couple leaders. Did she flush it...??
Next day we cleaned up and went home!
This is the cabin, as we were leaving pretty much.
All the girls at girls camp!!

Okay I'm done with that...Sorry it's insanely long! You get a gold star if you read it all!!
