Youth Conference!

*My post now has working pictures...hopefully*

Yeah, I know that this post is very overdue being that YC was a few weeks ago, but considering no one even reads my blog to even care...I don't mind posting this now.

Youth Conference was AWESOME! I didn't take any pictures until about the last five minutes, but that was because I was having to much fun to want to pause and take pictures!

We left at about 1 on Thursday June 25th and drove to Dixie Collage. When we got there after checking into our rooms we went to the campus orientation, where we watched a movie and then got a brief tour of the campus. About two seconds into the orientation was when texts galore started poring in about Michael Jackson. It was pretty insane, as the latest news would go from one person then spread completely across the room. It was very dramatic, even for those of us who didn't really care ALL that much about MJ... Anyways.

The tour around campus was interesting. Our guide was a female college student who claims that Dixie college is phenomenal. Along with just about every other aspect of her life...She was rather annoying actually. haha And she had her favorite things on campus down to a 5 step list. Or what we thought had only 5 steps...I think she got up to 8 or 9...

After the orientation we had some food out on the lawn in from of the Red Rock Cafe which is the campus cafeteria. The food was okay...not the best, but it was okay. After food and things we went and got ready for Footloose at Tuacon! Footloose was pretty good, one of those shows that you would go to twice, but it's not necessarily on your list of things you NEED to do again, you know? The main guy was a crazy good dancer...his singing just wasn't up to the level of his dancing. Everyone else was just sub-par. It was enjoyable for me though! (except during Almost Paradise, they basically screamed it at each other haha)

I was rooming with Andrea Fisher, but because two rooms where adjoined by a bathroom we were joined by Maddie Holland and Lydia Lind. We didn't get to bed until really late that night...or really early i guess

So the next day we got up and had breakfast at the Cafe place. The breakfast looked completely gross and tasted about how it looked. We got ready and went to the St. George temple to do baptisms. It was a very memorable experience, as it always is. I just love going to the temple!

After baptisms we went back to campus, had lunch (which was better then the breakfast!) and went to a Ropes Course. The Ropes Course was pretty amazing, if you've never been to one, it's a course...involving ropes, that tests you spirtitually, mentally, and physically. It's all about team work and "being connected" We had to hold hands several times with the people in our group.

Me being pulled along while we were all "connected"

One of the things we had to do was go through these ropes that were like a spiderweb, and we had to go through without touching the edges...That would be my feet going through!

Us after it was over:

They told us to be excited or something...And as you can see, I'm pretty much the only excited one.

After the ropes course we went back, ate, and went swimming at the Dixie pool that they had rented for us. It was a lot of fun!!

The next day, which was our last we had breakfast, then had some workshops with three different speakers. They all were really, really, good speakers and two out of the three gave a messages that I'll probably always remember. Very inspiring :)

After the workshops we had a testimony meeting which was really great, there was an amazing spirt it there. I loved it! After that lunch, then we packed up and went home

BUT....Before we went home I got a couple pictures with some of my favorite people there!! Minus a few (Kelsie??)
