New York, New York (so nice, they named it twice!)

OK So I've started this post about five times. But I finally decided that i should just post what i have then finish later (do what my mom did) So you'll be getting some of the same things twice if you read my mom's blog. I just got to the middle of our first day out in New York.

Tuesday night was the start of the trip. We drove down to Vegas and stayed at the Excalibur. Which if you haven't seen is like a huge castle. There were so many rooms it always blows my mind that there are SO many rooms. Anyway. So after we checked in we walked down the strip to the Bellagio to watch the water show. And If you haven't seen that, I suggest the next time you're in Vegas to go and watch it.

This is us (minus my mom who is taking the picture) back at the hotel. We had to get a picture with the TV. Notice we are watching the All Star Game.

Wednesday at five in the morning we left to the airport. Our flight didn't leave tell just after seven but they suggest you go early. As we were going through security my bag didn't make it through. I had illegal lotion. I had never flown before so I had no idea that if a liquid or something was over so many ounces... YA so they took my NEW lotion i had only used once. It was really nice Bath and Body Works!

Waiting for take off.
We had a layover in Atlanta Georgia, so we were in an Airport for about an hour and a half or so.

A picture from the plane coming into New York.
We lost about two hours and then there was a time change from Kanab to Vegas, and a time change from Vegas to Atlanta, then from Atlanta to New York. Then when i would text people in Kanab they were two hours behind me... Anyway. I was really messed up with all the time changes.
Once we got in New York on Wednesday we didn't really do anything except check into our hotel that was in Queens. Then we ordered pizza. Which I have to say was not the best pizza in the world. And instead of bread sticks in New York they have Garlic Nots. And i have to say i really prefer bread sticks, because i did not like those Garlic Nots.

Thursday We got up and walked to the subway to take us to Manhattan. The subway is not a happy place. Everyone on it is grumpy and tired.
So the first place we went was Top of the Rock. Which is the very top of the Rockeffeler Center.
We were SO high up!! 1st one is the Empire State building-if you couldn't tell- Pictures of uh.. more scenery. All those buildings! Central Park. Time Square(if you look you can kinda see the clock...)

After Top of the Rock we went on a bus tour. Oh Ya it was one of those double Decker buses. I've always wanted to ride one of those for some reason... Anyway. It had a whole bunch of historical sites, interesting places we saw. It was cool to see the skyscrapers close up. We don't have ANYTHING like that here in Kanab. (thankfully) It hurt my neck trying to look up to the top of some!

Then we went on the Staten Island Ferry, which just takes you around the Statue of Liberty. Its free. Something like a subway, for the people who live on the Island. We didn't want to pay to go over there because there isn't much to do once you are over there. They don't let you in the crown or anything anymore.

(I'll copy my mom) To Be Continued....
