Cross Country!

So This year I was the Cross Country manager! It was a lot of fun, I made new friends and had fun with my old ones! It was awesome! I used it for one of my personal progress projects. I got to write newspaper articles, take pictures, take times, be supportive :) It was so much fun!

Last year I didn't post anything about being the girls basketball manager, and I wanted to make sure I said something about this (which I liked a million times more than I liked basketball managing last year)

And for anyone thinking I'm lame for being a manager - I get to go on the trips, be apart of the team, have fun, support and help the team. And I don't have to run the 3 miles every day. Although I'm thinking about doing it next year. IF I can convince myself. haha

The Kanab Cross Country team ROCKED this season!! Boy's team won region, won other meets, did amazing... Both boys and girls consistently got in the top ten. It was a spectacular season!

VICTORY Lap!!

Boy's Team :)

The trips where crazy fun!

Me and Mariah! She is still one of my good friends since we bonded with Cross Country haha

Me and Dalton with the trophy we got at a meet! Dalton was the assistant coach before he left on his mission

Thanks for letting me be apart of this season Cross Country!

Into the Woods!

In November, our Drama department put on Into the Woods! It was sooo fun to be in, and I got a semi-main part. Into the Woods, if you dont know is a story about a baker and his wife that have to go through a journey to get many different items from classic fairy tale characters. A cow as white as milk from Jack (beanstalk Jack), a cape as red as blood from Little Red Riding Hood, Hair as yellow as corn from Rapunzel, and a slipper as pure as gold from Cinderella. I played the Baker's Wife who, although she lacks a name, is ultimately the main character along with her husband...the baker. My husband was Josh Barton, one of my good friends since middle school.

Because the drama department has too many participants all wanting the same parts, most people in the play were double casted, myself included. It seemed that anyone who was double casted had a lot of drama in the drama between them. (except guys who are completely and totally emotionless) In the whole process of double casting, my alter ego told me that she wanted to kill me. Trust me, DRAMA.

Anyways, I had a lot of fun doing this. It was amazing and I learned to love the play! We only did the first half of the play, otherwise I would have died a tragic death. So I like the version of the play were I dont die! It was all in all a lot of fun. I got to make a lot of the sets as well as be a character. It was fun to be apart of a drama production and actually feel included and have fun.

I enuciated my words to an art form

Getting hair from Rapunzel

Talking to my hubby about some beans

Trying to steal me a slipper! This scene was a lot of fun, but so much more when I was trying to get a shoe from someone about two feet taller then me. Sadly Scott and I could not do this scene together. Drat that double casting!

The group song at the end, notice my oh so amazing baby bump! (that didnt look very good)

No one gets into the songs quite like I did...

Joshua, my baker husband!

This picture is so great on so many levels. I think Mace was telling me something about the play. He was so cute because he really did like the play! And had some interesting opinions on everything...

My beautiful Valley cousins came to see me! I love them so much, Thanks for supporting me girls :]

Kelsie and I after the production. She was the best narrarator in allll the land!

Homecoming!

Just a post on homecoming...Homecoming was great! Homecoming week, the parade, game, AND Dance!

The Parade

Playin in the pep band! Clarinet :D

X-Press sang the national Anthem!

My beautiful cousin Mickell came down and watched the game with me and then slept over, she and I wore Jersey's to the game (a Kanab tradition for some girls to wear the travel jerseys of friends on the team) I wore Waylon's, and she wore Cody's. It was great to see her in those Kanab colors!!

Kell And I! 32 (cody) 75 (waylon)

Then the next day for the dance, I went with my date....Lydia!

Because both of us wanted to go to the dance but are too young for dates, so we went together as a "date" We went to Houstons for dinner, then got ready for the dance and went. It was a looot of fun! Even without dates, most of the people were just hanging out with everyone, and a lot of younger people came without dates too. So Lydia and I...My mom decided that she wanted to take some pictures of us before we went to our first "Date Dance" haha

Then Merrill came over and we decided to make him get in the picture too! But he wasn't so into that...As you can see, he is slapping my face.

But all in all it was a great homecoming :)

Family Vacation :)

SO. My family went on a vacation at the end of July to California. But not like...Disneyland California, we went to Sanfransisco, the beach, a family ranch...(my grandpa's uncle?) and it was a blast! I'm just going to do a very quick overview of it...beacause if i did the whole thing hour by hour it would be too long and I would loose interest in my blog again. :/ So I know its kinda a boring picture post..But here is a post! Sora

So we stayed at the nicest ranch ever, with really nice family that I had never known before this trip.

On the trip IIII.... Got to ride a horse for the first time, me and siblings.

Then went on a buggy ride...

The red wood forest...

The next day, San Fransico

The Oakland Temple :)

The Aquarium!

THE BEACH! Which was my favorite part of the trip, even though the water was freezing haha

So yeah, It was an awesome trip!! I had a lot of fun. The family we stayed with had a pool and we swam in that once, we hung out in their awesome house, My parents went to a country club, me and my sisters stayed in a bunk house. They also had other people staying with them so that was kinda cool (there was this other girl named McKenna, cause some confusion). I loved the beach. So much i wish we could have stayed there forever! I got DRENCHED though because i kept wanting to go deeper and deeper! haha, They were multi-millionaries and so when all the adults left Merrill turns to me and says "We're in a multimillionaire's house. WHAT are we gonna do!?" And we ended up watching Enchanted on their big tv haha

All-in-All it was fabulous-sorry it is so poorly represented on my blog!
