End of Year!

So It's the end of the year...School year... And yes, i know that technically it was a couple weeks ago, but I'm going to post this a little late, so i hope you don't mind.

The last week of school was great! I got lots of opportunities and I hung out with my fantastic friends a lot. It was all and all pretty fantastic. I am though, going to miss some AMAZING Seniors from Kanab High...The seniors I'll miss the most are Shadoe, Dalton, and Courtney! And although i didn't take any pictures at the actual graduation i thought I would post a couple pictures of these people just to show you briefly how awesome they are.

Dalton:

haha this was from the beginning of the school year when we were doing something for drama, I don't remember why he did this, but it was hilarious! Dalton is amazing and I'm going to miss him so much!!

Courtney:

Courtney is such a gem. :) She has been one of my best friends since last years California trip. That trip was amazing! And I'm so glad that we became good friends there.

Shadoe:

Shadoe is AMAZING! He has always been awesome. During the graduation slide show when his baby picture came up I immediately started cheering. The people around me looked at me like I was crazy and they could not figure out who it was! When his senior picture came up by it everyone started cheering. Maybe it's just because I knew him when he was younger, but i think that he didn't really look all that different! haha







I'm going to miss you guys!! As well as my cousins Tyler, Joe, and Matt. I can't believe they graduated as well!!


So the last days of school were pretty alright. The awards Assembly was nice. Funny story-This year there was a drawing for people who had all A's or A-'s, perfect attendance, and a couple other things i think...Mainly perfect attendence (no absences or tarties) But anyways, the drawing was for a 4-Wheeler. And because I'm not 16 yet I wasn't allowed to be in the drawing for it. haha But the office lady messed up and put me in anyways because she seriously thought i was 16. So when others found out they took me out of the drawing...But not before a cake was made for me! So here is a picture of me and my cake. Too bad i didn't have a chance at the real 4-wheeler... But the person who won wasnt even there!

I didn't get a yearbook because the yearbook staff was shorthanded and stupid this year...and I STILL haven't got it. So instead of having people sign a yearbook they signed these random pieces of paper that I put together. My absolute FAVORITE signature was a girls...And I wont tell you who...But it was funny:

"You are so cute!!! I always get so scared when you act mad a tme cause i totally want you to like me!"

And there you have it. I think I'm done now...haha And I'm sorry this post is really kinda pointless and jumbled.

Happy Birthday to WHO?? OH! To me. :)

I had a birthday! haha and it was a very nice one, might i add. We decided to go up north for my birthday (state baseball...) And i had a good time. It was kinda sad because that was the FIRST day I missed all school year, and It's going to be the only day as well. But it was nice to not have to worry about school. I got to relax! I guess I could say that certain aspects of my birthday weren't that great, but overall i had a wonderful day... I will not give you a full cover on my birthday. Whether you care, or not. And if you don't care...That is seriously fine with me. :)

I was the first one to wish myself a Happy Birthday. I finally fell asleep a little after 12. I slept...a little uncomfortably (due to sleeping on a couch cushion...) But it was OK. At about 6 in the morning my cousin Jess's alarm went off and she wished me a very happy birthday and sang to me. The song she sang though...maybe you've heard it: "Happy Birthday HUH Happy Birthday HUH, There is sickness in the air, people dying everywhere, but it's your birthday. so happy birthday HUH." A great way to start my day ;)

It was about 8...I think when i finally rolled out of bed. (or cushion...) I stepped out of the bedroom and was met with very enthusiastic Happy Birthday!'s. It was happy :) My parents went off to the baseball games and i basically hung out at my Aunt Valerie's house with cousins.

At eleven we went to my cousin Jake's preschool graduation, and it was really cute! One down-side to me about not being at school on my birthday was the fact that i love having XPress come and sing to me. It's been done nearly every year that I've been to school on my birthday!

Last year (it was at a track meet) :


But during the program when i had this random 644 I had NO idea who it could be and just ignored the call. Then i get this text from my mom a couple minutes later... "XPress is calling you! Answer the phone" So i told her to have them call me back and i went outside to wait. They called and sang to me, which made me pretty happy. *And next year i will be IN XPress!! WOOH!*

After that...Well i don't think we much except hang out... :) When my parents got home from the baseball game they took Me, Merill, and cousins Jess and Danny out to Olive Garden. Danny had never been to Olive Garden before! The food was delicious! I LOVE Olive Garden. The waiter found out that it was my birthday, and My loving family and him decided to embarrass me. So he went and got 6 or so other guys and they came to sing to me. It was a really kinda...Slow time, so when all these guys started singing to me EVERYONE stopped talking and it got suddenly quite as they all looked over at us. It was kinda embarrassing.... And you can tell from my face in the picture!

Then after the wonderful food... I got my birthday present! It was a new phone!! A Samsung glide to be exact. Although to most of you, that's old news. I've probably shown you. :)

And then...We had cake. Now this is where it probably was a LITTLE bit sad. I didn't get to have my traditional cake. the one that i love. a lot. Cinnamon Cake. BUT the alternative was very good.

All in all, very good! After that, or a little while later...Jess and I went to the movie Confessions of a Shopaholic. It was really cute! But on the way there, i kid you not, we hit EVERY single red light. EVERY single one. If you dont believe me ask Jess ;) But we actually didn't end up missing anything vital to the plot, so it was good.

SO...

Now for a story about Mice. When we got home, it was pretty late. But Jess wanted me to have something better to sleep on. So she and I went out into the garage and got this foam pad-or we tried to. Jess saw a mouse and screamed and went running inside. And I, having NO idea what was going on screamed as well and followed her in. Aunt Val though...Well she didn't believe that there was really a mouse. We finally went back out and got it, brought it into her room, and saw that there was mouse droppings on it... Then my Aunt and her mom was a little more believing... haha. For some reason we still opened it and a MOUSE ran out of the foam. Both of us SCREAMED and ran out of the room shutting the door behind us. Valerie came to see what was going on, and then got the cats the get rid of the mouse. We stayed up for an hour or so after that looking for the mouse, Me, Jess, Valerie, Suzi Q, and Tootsie...But we never found the mouse.

Now, you may be thinking "McKenna and Jess are delusional, there was no mouse!" and if that is what you are thinking...Then you are wrong. There is (or was) a MOUSE in your house Valerie!!

Needless to say, Jess and I didn't sleep in her bedroom that night.

State Solo and Ensemble

So as you must know...Or you don't? State Solo and Ensemble was awhile ago--on Mace's birthday! It was a fun trip, I loved near every minute!!

Later when got to the hotel, we were amazed. Or I was. It was a NICE hotel. My roomies where Courtney, Sara, and Kelsie. We decided that since the place had a kitchenette we would make smores. It was pretty fun! Then...there were pictures on the wall and i commented on how much i liked them! And wondered if they were bolted to the wall randomly. I went over just to look...And i think we all got carried away with posing for pictures! haha

As you might be able to tell-they weren’t bolted...









SATURDAY...

So you may have noticed that it's taken me awhile to post this...Maybe that’s because I'm lazy-maybe that's because I'm not all that happy with the results. I was very nervous all day for the event... I was WAY excited to have Katie and Tyler come hear me, made me feel pretty loved. I was sad that other family up there couldn’t come-but I understood! :) I had many friends come and listen to me that where there, and that was great!!

The actual performance was one of my best. I thought i did extremely well-although i knew i had many follies. My judge was a college professor from UVU. Eh..The outcome was a 2+ Which is basically a B+. If you know me...you know that I'm not much of a B+ girl... I had people come and tell me afterwards that they thought I did better than that, and I think that that’s what i want to take from this. That it was a GREAT experience, and I like what she had to say on the judging sheet, but it’s not all about the actual grade...Keep telling myself that?

I don’t know what I'm actually talking about anymore... O_o

Xpress got a 2+ as well-and the judge who gave them that was the husband of my judge. I think they just might have had something against us Kanab people ;)


The bus ride home was okay. My favorite part was probably when my friends Patrick, Ben, and Matt braided my hair. I'm so glad my mom got some documented pictures of it! haha

All in all a great trip. I had a few moments of some pretty sad things...But it was still great!

Happy Birthday MACE!

Mace's Birthday was on the 24th of April, and I failed to give him a much needed shout out! So here is my birthday shout out to Mace. :D (these are just some random pictures that i really like)

He gets along great with the cousins his age-and not his age! They are always playing together and having a good time.

SPORTS? He's your man! He can do it all-football, baseball, basketball, (newly) soccer. He is one great athlete!!

And overal, he is just probably the cutest boy in the world! haha





I couldnt even BEGIN to post all the many many cute pictures of him, so I'll leave it at that. But he is so cute. I LOVE YOU MACE!
